"Loli's Writing"By: Elma Saskia, S.Pd
Loli was so excited today because her cousin, Aleyssan, came to visit their new house with her parents. They were currently playing in Loli's room.
"Loli, I have a great gift for you. Want to see it?" Aleyssan asked.
"Yes, I do! Where is it, Sis?" Loli exclaimed curiously.
Aleyssan rummaged through her bag to find a small rectangular box tied with a ribbon in the middle and gave it to Loli.
Loli, who was already very curious, immediately opened the box and her eyes sparkled brightly when she found 12 colorful pens inside.
Excitedly, she got up from her seat and took a blank piece of paper, then her hand moved to write something on it using the pens.
"Wow, the colors are so beautiful and they sparkle like jewels!" Loli praised happily.
Aleyssan smiled upon hearing her, "Yes, they are very beautiful because besides being colored, the ink also contains glitter so it looks like sparkling silver. Isn't it nice?"
Loli nodded in agreement, her smile was so wide as she tried each of the pens until her cousin finally said goodbye, because they had to go home before nightfall.

After dinner, Loli went back to her room and took the initiative to do one of the assignments in her book using the pens that Aleyssan had given her earlier.
She thought that her teacher would be happy to see her colorful writing later. She couldn't wait to show it to her teacher tomorrow.

The next day, the teacher asked the kindergarten B children to learn to write by following the writing on the board neatly.
The teacher walked around from one table to another, patiently helping to train the hand movements of the children who had difficulty writing, while asking the children to erase their writing again if it was not neat.
However, when she reached Loli's table, the teacher sighed when she saw Loli's writing hanging out of the guide lines. The letters she wrote were also not the same size, some were big and some were small in the middle.
"Loli, what happened to your writing, dear?" the teacher asked.
Loli smiled showing her white teeth, "Isn't it beautiful, Teacher? Loli wrote it with the colorful pens that my cousin gave me." She answered.
"Loli, I'm not forbidding you from writing with pens. It's just not the time yet. You still need guidance in writing beautifully. Look, your writing should be right inside the guide lines, not up and down like this. Is the word 'Gembira' that you wrote exactly the same as the example I wrote on the board?" the teacher asked.
Loli looked at her writing again and compared it to the example writing on the board and in her book. "It's true what the teacher said, Loli's writing is not as neat as the example. So, what about it, Teacher? Loli can't erase it anymore because it's written in pen," she said sadly.
The teacher stroked Loli's hair gently, "Well, okay. Later I will copy my book, especially for this page and you can rewrite it using a pencil. Remember, don't use pens yet. Wait until you can write neatly and beautifully, then you can use them again. Well, maybe in grade VI of elementary school. Okay?" the teacher said, giving Loli an understanding.
Loli nodded happily, "Thank you, Teacher. Loli will definitely study writing harder so that Loli's writing can be neat and beautiful like the teacher's, and I can use the pens that Sister Aleyssan gave me later in grade VI of elementary school," she said excitedly again. The teacher was also happy to hear it.
Note: This story is intended for children from kindergarten to grade IV of elementary school.
